Microgold based
anti-inflammatory treatments
Made only from the purest 99,99 % Gold
The concept of Auromedication has been recognized for a long time, with gold being utilized for medical purposes in ‘modern’ medicine since the 1850s. However, recent advancements in understanding the optimal size, and delivery of μGold particles, along with a better understanding of the mode of action of gold ions, have revolutionized the concept, hence our name MyGold.
Extensive scientific research on the treatment of rheumatic diseases using gold ion-containing drugs, such as Myocrisin®, has clearly demonstrated that gold ions can suppress inflammation.
However, the downside of traditional gold containing drugs is the accumulation of gold ions in most organs of the body, especially the kidneys. An accumulation that can ultimately cause death if not carefully regulated.
In contrast, patients treated with µ-sized gold particles, have shown similar significant suppression of inflammation, without any risk of unwanted gold accumulation outside the treatment area.
The injected µGold particles will stay put where they are placed and exert their anti-inflammatory effect in close proximity. I.e., only local tissues.

Our science and IP aims to introduce a treatment that greatly reduces scarring after plastic surgery
Micro gold treatment of wounds
Mammal’s – including humans – are by design prone to generate a massive inflammatory response to aid survival. Hence the strategy of the body to a trauma is to stop bleeding and start the innate inflammatory response.
In our micro-gold treatment a diminution of the inflammatory response takes place, where the gold ions induce a strong reduction of granulation tissue which leads to significantly less scarring.
Arthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a complex, progressive joint disease characterized by the degeneration of joint tissues. The pathology of OA involves multiple joint components, including articular cartilage, subchondral bone, joint capsule, and synovium.
In addition to cartilage and bone, the synovium plays a critical role in OA pathophysiology. Synovitis, or inflammation of the synovial membrane, is an active component of OA. The inflammation lead to the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and enzymes that degrade cartilage, further accelerating joint degeneration.
Our latest studies show that µGold injected into the joint, effects knee osteoarthritis. The benefits include pain relief and edema reduction.
