Donation Enables Groundbreaking Research
Professor Sten Rasmussen, Scientific Officer and Chairman of the Board at MyGold, has received a donation of 5 million DKK from Sundhedsdonationer from the health insurance company Sygeforsikringen “danmark”. The donation enables the launch of a full Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) to investigate the effect and efficacy of MyGold’s micro gold treatment for patients with knee osteoarthritis.
The study will be led by Professor Sten Rasmussen at Aalborg University Hospital in Denmark.
Promising Results from Previous Research
Previous pilot studies have demonstrated that intra-articular injection of gold micro-particles can provide pain relief lasting up to two years in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Additionally, proteome analyses have shown an inflammation-modulating effect of the treatment.
MyGold develops micro gold-based anti-inflammatory treatments manufactured from 99.99% pure gold. The technology aims to offer patients a long-lasting and gentle treatment option with minimal side effects.
